Diary of Anne Frank Special Dinner
In conjunction with the Duluth Playhouse’s performance of The Diary of Anne Frank at the NorShor Theater, this special dinner menu has been inspired by a historic menu found in the hiding place of the Frank family in 1942.
“On Saturday, 18 July 1942, the people in hiding prepared a feast for Miep and Jan Gies in celebration of their first wedding anniversary. Auguste van Pels prepared the food and Anne typed the menu on an office typewriter. The first course was Bouillon à la Hunzestraat, named after Miep and Jan’s home address. The main course was named after a local butcher.” – Anne Frank
